Bible Study

Holy Trinity offers several opportunities to participate in a Catholic Bible Study. If you have wanted to study and pray with Scripture, consider joining one of the following groups.  Most groups meet in the Spiritual Life Center.  Each group selects its own study materials.  Below you will find the study themes and dates planned for the winter of 2019.

Around the Lenten Circle – a small group discussion on the Sunday Lenten readings.  No cost.  Facilitator is Susan Means.  Dates are March 10, 17, 24, April 7 and 14.

Lent, Season of Transformation - During Lent, we strive to free ourselves from all kinds of clutter-material and spiritual-in order to focus on God and turn back to him with our whole hearts. If this "turning back" is genuine, it will be a reorientation, a transformation. To help us enter into this season, Amy Ekeh guides readers in exploring three key moments in the life and ministry of Jesus. The result will be a better understanding of the authentic transformation that God calls each of us to embrace as individuals and as a community and a renewed desire to live God's own outward-looking, self-emptying, laying-down-one's-life kind of love.  A study book is available for $4.  Facilitators are Rachel Schrepferman and Susan Spalding.  Dates are march 11, 18, 25, and April 15.
Wednesday morning – 9 – 11 AM in the Spiritual Life Center

Pillar I: Creed – Sean Innerst facilitates a 12 week DVD study by Ascension Press focusing on the first “pillar” of the Catechism. You say you “believe” every Sunday as you recite the Creed. But do you know what you’re saying you “believe” in? Do the truths of the faith— listed in the Creed—really permeate your life? Learn how these ancient truths contain the promise of peace, joy and happiness for our lives. You’ll learn how your personal journey fits into the amazing story of salvation that we pray every Sunday in the Creed.  You will learn what God’s “innermost secret” is and how we are called to participate in it; see how our happiness is God’s goal—and the ultimate purpose of our journey; and discover how the Creed tells the entire story of salvation in miniature.  Cost is $25 per study set.  Facilitators are Kathy Aschbacher and Susan Means.  Dates are January 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23, March 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.
